Guided Scrambling in North Wales

Guided Scrambling in north Wales gives you the opportunity to enjoy some of the many classic scrambles of Snowdonia.

Perhaps you are keen to try some of the easier scrambles in the quieter parts of the national park as a way of getting away from the crowds on the ‘tourist routes’, or maybe you are looking to challenge yourself and try some of the harder scrambles while someone else take care of the route finding and decision making.

If you know Snowdonia well as a walker then all of the scrambles give the opportunity to see familiar landscapes from new perspectives.

Scrambling enchainments – Cuillin Ridge / Alpine climbing preparation

We are often asked to help folk in their preparation for upcoming challenges such as a traverse of the Cuillin ridge on Skye or long alpine rock routes such as the Hornli ridge on the Matterhorn. Linking several scrambles together in one day and moving steadily and efficiently for an extended period of time in technical terrain is ideal preparation for this. Many people fail on the Cuillin traverse because they underestimate the mental tiredness that comes with having to concentrate hard on every hand and foot placement for hour after hour. If training for a such a challenge we can organise a longer day (10-15 hours) where we will link as many scrambles as possible to give a very realistic idea of the physical and mental toughness that what will be required on the day of your main objective.

For guided scrambling in north wales you should have previous hill walking experience. No previous climbing or scrambling experience is required.
